Imphal, March 04 2016 : No file process has been pending with Under Secretary, Dy Secretary, Additional Secretary and Commissioners of all departments, CM O Ibobi informed the House.

The CM said this while discussing a private member Bill, The Manipur (Right of Citizens to Time Bound Delivery of Public Services) Bill, 2016 which was introduced by MLA L Ibomcha today.

O Ibobi said that files usually remain pending with officials below Under Secretary.

He said that the Govt has already examined the Bill introduced by the MLA and added that the same will be studied in detail to facilitate its introduction and passage.

Introducing the private member Bill, MLA L Ibomcha said similar Acts have been implemented in Goa, Haryana, Punjab and Karnataka.

He moved that similar Act be implemented in the State in some departments on experimental basis.

Prior to this, the Manipur Protection of Interests of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Bill, 2014 (Bill No 14 of 2014) was withdrawn by the CM.
