AMSU launches 'disclose details' campaign

Imphal, February 15 2017: As announced yesterday, the All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) today launched a campaign christened 'Cam-paign for Protection of Historical and Political Identity of Manipur' at Shamu Makhong, Khwai-ramband this afternoon demanding a white paper on the contents and details of the framework agreement signed between the Government of India and NSCN-IM on August 3, 2015 .

The campaign was launched by AMSU president Sanasam Subash.

AMSU volunteers also distributed leaflets to the public which explained their campaign and the need to know the details of the framework agreement.

Subash said that the Government of India's refusal to divulge the contents and details of the framework agreement evokes a strong suspicion among the people of Manipur that it might affect the territorial integrity of the State.
