19 KNLF cadres surrender to AR

Imphal, July 05 2013 : A total of 19 cadres of the underground Kuki National Liberation Front (KNLF) surrendered to 9 Assam Rifles along with arms yesterday at Moreh.

According to a source, the surrenderees included five high ranking cadres.

The arms surrendered to the AR included three M-16 rifles, one M-15 rifle, two AK-22 rifles, one US carbine, one .32 pistol and one 60 mm mortar while the ammunition surrendered included 150 rounds of M-15/16, 50 rounds of AK-22, 38 rounds of US Carbine and three bombs.

The surrendered cadres were Lunminthang, 2 i/c Arms Wing commander; Thangneo, Operational commander; Seipao, Finance Wing commander; Letthong, PRO; Thongkholun, finance wing commander-II; A No 136 Sgt Hemlun alias Daltan (27) of Langkhon Kuki vill, Senapati district; Pvt Lelen alias David (21) of Tuibong Ccpur; Pvt Khanglhi alias Tiger (20) of Tolbung, Ccpur; Pvt Letminlun alias Michael of Patlian, Ccpur; Pvt Ngangam alias Govind (20) of Gamphajol Kuki vill, Ccpur; Pvt Francis Kuki (18) of Tuinom, Ccpur; Haokholun alias Lunneo (18) of Moreh W No 2; Pvt John Kuki (18) of Moreh W No 1; Pvt Romeo alias Thangboi (21) of Moreh W No 2; Pvt Franky Kuki (19) of Kholen vill, Senapati district; Pvt Mamang Mate (17) of Moreh W No 1; Pvt Sangboi (23) of Thanglen Veng, Moreh W No 9; Pvt Thangneo alias Touthang (22) of Moreh W no 1 and Pvt Neosen Baite (23) of Moreh W No 2 .
