Imphal, January 14 2013:
The underground United Tribals' Liberation Army (UTLA) has called upon all compatriots of the North East India, who are struggling for sovereignty or political self-determination, to work in unity.
It is high time for all 'National workers' to shun the culture of fraternal killings and enmity that has been sown by the predecessors to achieve their selfish as well as malicious designs that has left the people to live in chaos and confusions that has amply reflected the narrow-mindedness and political immaturity, said an UTLA statement signed by its chairman, SK Thadou.
The statement also said that signing of SoO by some group/factions with the Govt of Manipur is an indication of suppression of the NE insurgents/national workers after a colossal lost of precious lives.
In the light of the above fact, the UTLA urged all groups/factions all groups barring SoO signatory groups to shun the path of fraticidal killings, enmity and work hand in hand with iron-clad commitment with a view to revive the bond of age-old fraternal relationships among the groups and stand firm come what may towards the accomplishment of the longstanding goal.
The UTLA statement also urged all groups outside the SoO parameter to maintain bond of brotherhood and oneness in their endeavour in the days to come.
