Govt terminates Bishworjit

Imphal, December 30 2011: Thongam Bishworjit, Progress Assistant of Directorate of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Government of Manipur has been terminated from his post, official sources said.

The approval of the termination was given by Under Secretary A Temba Singh on behalf of Principal Secretary, Secretariate of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj A Luikham in an official order issued on December 22, added the sources.

Thongam Bishworjit s/o Thongam Kumar of Ningomthong has been working in the RD and PR, Govt of Manipur as Progress Assistant since November 1997 .

The sources further mentioned that Bishworjit has already submitted his resignation letter to the higher authority of the department on October 25, 2010 .

Meanwhile, the development committee formed in connection with election activities of intending candidate Thongam Bishworjit appreciated the RD and PR, Govt of Manipur for approving the termination.
