MPP reiterates

Reiterating its stand that the Manipur Govt should be made party to the ongoing GoI peace talk with the Naga outfit, the Manipur People's Party (MPP) cautioned all concerned including GoI and GoM not to cause any disturbance in the delicate sociopolitical condition of the region and Manipur by taking any decision based on ill-informed information.
In the light of media reports that the CM of Manipur being summoned by the Government of India in connection with its ongoing talk with the NSCN (IM), the MPP in a statement noted that the civil society organisations who stand for Manipur have come out strongly to caution the CM not to succumb to the pressure of the Centre on any arrangement that would be detrimental to Manipur.
There have also been reports that SC Jamir, former CM of Nagaland, who recently visited Manipur along with Congressmen of Nagaland had expressed gratitude to O Ibobi for his willingness to agree to the proposals of his team in regard with the ongoing political process, the MPP said.
It added that the report could also raise certain questions and disturb the minds of the general public.
