Imphal, August 31 2016:
NSCN-IM has categorically stated that Naga integration is a legitimate right of the Naga people.
Naga people have all the reason to be contented when GoI recognized the legitimate and sovereign rights of the Naga people as a free people saying, 'Naga integration is a legitimated right of the Naga people' .
When the Indo-Naga political negotiation is about to arrive at an honourable solution it is never wise to talk about the Nagas of Nagaland, the sons of the soil or Nagas of outside Nagaland.
Nagas were never divided on the line of Nagaland State and outside Nagaland State.
There is no first class Naga and second class Naga, all Nagas are equal.
Whoever fights for the cause of the Naga Nation, they are Naga patriot or National patriot, said a statement signed jointly by NSCN-IM Vice-Chairman Kholi, collective leadership members AK Lungalang, Tongmeth Wangnao and Q Tuccu.
Nagaland State is never the best thing to have happened for the Naga people.
Naga people know how it (Nagaland State) did come about in a defining moment and a treacherous situation the Nagas were facing then.
When GoI leaders say they now well understand the 'Naga's situations', they do not mean the present Nagaland State and its ridiculous situation today, added the statement.
When successive Indian Prime Ministers say the case of the Naga people is 'unique', the term 'law and order' has been completely ruled out now.
The realization that seeking military settlement has proved its own futility explicitly asserts that the case between the Naga people and GoI needs be settled politically.
Government of India and Naga leaders in collaboration with internationally renowned legal experts, Constitutional experts and experts on legal matters and conflict resolutions, people who are so much committed to peace around the world, have worked this far to allow permanent settlement between the GoI and the Naga people wherever they are today, added the outfit.
Series of collective and wide ranging consultations that have taken place right from the start of the on-going peace talks have never failed to garner the wisdom and strength of the Nagas wherever they are.
Nagas who were forced to live under politically tormenting situations inside different political structures of India and Myanmar are not as happy and comfortable as those who have aggressively reaped the fruit from the quick-fix 16th State (Nagaland) of India.
These groups who have incessantly asserted on safeguarding the sanctity of Nagaland State had also at the same time ridiculed the Framework Agreement as being devoid of Naga sovereignty and Naga integration, it added.
The so called NPGs should be bold enough to dare and officially declare themselves that they stand for safeguarding the 16th State of India and refrain from talking about the Naga issue.
Naga people need to remind them that there are millions of Nagas who do not partake the benefits of this Indian State that was celebrated in 1960 to announce the world that Naga problem was finally settled.
GoI did never accomplish its own job towards settling down the final question of the Naga people.
These groups who demand 'inclusiveness, integration or Naga sovereignty, at the same time, when outrageously uphold the integrity of present Nagaland, befool themselves other than confusing the Naga people at large.
The case between India and the Naga people need to be negotiated to settle the conflict permanently.
The issue of settlement thus never refer to what they call 'neighbouring States' or 'outside Nagaland', it asserted.
