Imphal, October 31 2015 :
A joint meeting of the Joint Action Committee Against Anti-Tribal Bills, Inpis/tribe leaders and the State Government representatives held today in the office of the Superin-tendent of Police, Chura- chandpur agreed that the State Government will perform Hiamkhaam ( pre-requisite tribal customary practice for resolution of conflict) at the earliest (preferably on November 2, 2015) .

In the meantime, the date and time for talks may be finalized for resolution of the ongoing impasse, conveyed a joint press statement issued by LM Khaute, Addl.

In fulfilment of the prerequisite set by the Joint Action Committee and with the objective of bringing about an early solution to the current impasse, the meeting resolved that the State Government will perform Hiamkhaam at the earliest, added the joint press statement.
