Voting counting in Jiribam

Three tables would be set for counting of votes in Jiribam sub-division of Imphal East district on March 6 for the election to the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly conducted on January 28, according to a statement issued by ADC JIribam Y Iboyaima.
In all five candidates have contested in the election from 40-Jiribam Assembly Constituency.
The candidates include one each of INC, MSPC, CPI and AITC as well as an Independent.
There are in all 24,761 electorates in Jiribam, out of which 12,631 are female electorates while the remaining 12,130 are male electorates.
However, the polling recorded was 77.75 percent.
Counting of the votes would be carried out inside the campus of ADC, Jiribam starting from 8 am on March 6.For the purpose, three tables would be laid.
Counting of votes for polling stations 40/1 to 40/12 would be done on table no.1, for polling stations 40/13 to 40/25 in table no.2 and the counting for polling stations 40/26 to 40/36 would be done table no.3 .
