RIMS NTEWA condemns, warns

The second general body meeting of Non-Teaching Employees Welfare Association, RIMS held today strongly condemned the 'explanation call' served to three office bearers of the association by the RIMS authority in connection with the agitation launched by them on April 15 last.
Addressing reporters after the meeting today, vice-president of the association, Dr W Ranbir said that the agitation on April 15 was launched jointly by the non-teaching and teaching employees of RIMS.
However, explanation call was served to the president, vice-president and treasurer of the non-teaching employees' association.
He said that the meeting today decided to launch intense agitation if the RIMS authority fails to withdraw the explanation call served to three of its office bearers by April 21 .
The meeting today resolved to demand that the promotional allowance and recruitment rules be revised after every five years as per Govt of India's DOPT guidelines, he said.
It also resolved to demand absorption of all contractual employees and to solve the contract issue once and for all, Dr Ranbir said.
To formulate transfer policy of ministerial staff and technicians of RIMS and to urge the RIMS authority to invite Additional Secretary/Secretary level officer of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India for an open discussion on the issues besetting RIMS are amongst others resolutions adopted during the second general body meeting of RIMS Non-Teaching Employees' Welfare Association, Dr Ranbir said.
