Imphal, May 06 2011:
The All Manipur Students Guardians' Association (AMSGA) has demanded that Class X and Class XII examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur and the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur respectively should be declared within the current month for the sake of students' career.
Speaking to media persons today, AMSGA advisor S Kula said that in the absence of good institutes for higher education, no definite time for academic session and the failure to provide text books, the education system being followed in the State is a total flop.
Inability to declare results of Class X and Class XII examinations is a serious factor that would derail career of young students.
For all these reason, the relevant authorities should take up extra measures to declare the exam results within the current month, Kula insisted.
Another advisor, Tomba noted that students of the State have been going to other States for higher education spending huge amounts of money due to the compelling situation prevailing in the State.
The Government need to understand the existing situation and work to establish a healthy education system in the State.
Tomba further highlighted the need to establish a textbook cooperation in the State in order to address the problem of textbook unavailability.
He also insisted that an eligibility test should be conducted first in the pattern of CBSE teachers before selecting teachers for RMSA and SSA on mark basis.
