Lucknow, June 29 2015 :
There are those who made it to the Delhi University and there are others, a huge number of meritorious students, waiting for second or even third list, after failing to make it to their preferred college in the first cut-off.
Udita Pandey, who scored 95% in class XII and wanted to pursue sociology in the top colleges of DU, could after the first cut-off make it only to Sri Venkateswara College and Daulat Ram College (DRC).
"My percentage went down by 2.5% because I wanted to switch from commerce to humanities.
I will now wait for the second list to get into a top notch college,'' said Udita, adding she would prefer either IP or Miranda House.
Another Lucknow girl, Ishita Jain who scored 94.25% in class XII has qualified for Psychology (Hons) at DRC, Kirori Mal College (KMC) and Gargi College has taken BA in DRC, but is waiting for second list hoping to get a better college for Psychology (Hons).
Securing 95.5% wasn't enough for Sonakshi Srivastava to qualify for English (Hons) at Lady Shri Ram College for Women.
"Though I have taken admission in KMC, there is still chance for LSR, so I am waiting for the second list,'' she said.
Aaryama Rastogi who scored 95.5% in class XII is waiting for second and third lists to study Psychology (Hons) at Miranda House, though she has settled down for Political Science (Hons) at DRC.

Her percentage slipped to 93.5 as Arts in DU isn't considered for the best four subjects.
After first cut-off, she got Delhi College of Arts and Commerce and Shaheed Bhagat Singh College.
Aisha Ansari prefers to return to Lucknow after failing to get a top DU college.
Aisha scored 94.75% in class XII and wanted to pursue English (Hons) or History (Hons) from St Stephen's College or Jesus and Mary College (JMC) but after first cut-off, she got Sri Venkateswara and Gargi and Lady Irwin College.
