Workshop on Langden drum concludes

Imphal, February 12 2022: The 15 days workshop on Langden Drum of Manipur organised by the Rhythms of Manipur which started from January 27, concluded on February 10 .

The valedictory function was held at the Manipuri Jagoi Marup complex, Lamboikhongnangkhong, said a release issued by Rhythms of Manipur.

The vice president of the Rhythms of Manipur, Aribam Shyamacharan Sharma graced the valedictory function of the workshop.

Altogether fourteen lady drummers from different districts of Manipur namely Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal, Kakching, Jiribam and one British lady Jean Elizabeth Holding attended the said workshop.

A six minute music composition was also presented by the participants, it added.

It may be noted that the Rhythms of Manipur established in 1985 has performed all over India and many countries and has been regularly organising music workshops and festivals.
