Sharda guarantees cabinet berth to Huri Golmei

Flag hoisting cum election campaign programme of BJP candidate in Tamenglong assembly constituency Huri Golmei was organised by Haochong & Awangkhul Segment Election Steering Committee at Khumji Part -2, Noney district on Sunday.
The flag was hoisted by BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi in the presence of former president and former MLA M Bhorot Singh, BJP Tamenglong in-charge Th Yumjao Singh, district president Lanjaigai Kamei, National Manila Morcha national executive Sumitra Laloo and other BJP leaders.
Speaking at the event, A Sharda criticised the Congress for neglecting youth who are the future pillars of the nation during their regime, whereas the present government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is focusing on development of youth by creating jobs and facilitating skilled development.
She lambasted the Congress for misruling the government and the people of Manipur.
She also praised the then Prime Minister of India AB Bihari Vajpayee for sanctioning construction of Jiribam - Imphal Railways project and creating separate Ministry for Scheduled Tribes as Tribal Affairs.
Sharda hailed the present state government led by chief minister N Biren Singh for bringing tremendous changes in the state by introducing programmes like 'Go to Hills' and 'Go to Village' and providing benefits of welfare schemes to the people right at their door step.
Under his visionary leadership, both hills and valley people are coming closer day by day and he even envisioned holding cabinet meetings in the hills district headquarters, she added.
The president also assured the gathering that Huri Golmei will get a cabinet berth if he is elected and the urged the voters of Tamenglong AC to elect Huri as to make the AC shining.
On the other hand, Huri Golmei promised that if he elected, he will focus towards addressing public grievances and work for the downtrodden people.
Every road in the AC will be blacktopped very soon and new road connectivity developed, he further assured.
