7 test positive

Imphal, September 03 2022:
The State reported seven new COVID-19 cases during the last 24 hours while as many as 15 individuals were discharged today after completion of surveillance.
The 7 new cases, all from the general population, were reported from Imphal West (4) and Bishnupur (3).As the seven cases were found positive out of 406 samples tested at various testing centres, the daily positivity rate was reported at 1.7 percent.
The addition of the seven new cases has pushed the cumulative number of positive cases in the State to 1,39,731 including 1,34,711 from the general population and 5020 CAPF personnel.As no Covid related fatalities were reported during the last 24 hours, the death toll stayed at 2147 .
With the discharge of the 15 individuals today, the active cases in the State have further gone down to 56.The recovery rate as on Saturday is is 98.42 per cent.
As many as 3565 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered on September 2 .
The State, till yesterday, has vaccinated 62.34 percent of its eligible population with first doses of the vaccines while 54.50 percent have received their second doses.
13,07,770 individuals have also received their precautionary doses of COVID-19 vaccines till yesterday.
