'Send staff to operate ventilators at DH Thoubal'

Thoubal, May 24 2021: Member of Khangabok Zilla Parishad, Kh Rajmohon appealed to the Chief Minister and authorities concerned to send adequate staff at District Hospital Thoubal to operate ventilators to avoid any more fatalities in future.

The above appeal was made by him during a press meet held at the Laibung of Ikop Ningthou, Khangabok today organised by pradhans and ward members of Khangabok Zilla Parishad, local clubs and Anti COVID-19 Task Force, Khangabok.

Kh Rajmohon stated that the State Government has allocated seven ventilators to District Hospital Thoubal however there are no technicians to operate the ventilators.

Due to no trained technicians, oxygen is not provided to those COVID-19 patients in time who have difficulty in breathing which have led to deaths of many including two individuals from Khangabok, he added.

Therefore, representing the residents of the district, he sought the attention of the Government and the authorities concerned to send staff to operate the ventilators at the earliest to avoid loss of lives in future.
