Imphal, May 24 2021:
Manipur Police Department's Special Commando Unit officer in-charge Subedar L Vivekananda has announced that he will be donating a month's pay to the CM's Covid-19 Relief Fund.
The officer said that the CM Biren-led state government is trying its level best to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, including providing physical assistance to people physically or via online.
As such, he as a citizen of Manipur decided to donate one month's pay (Rs 75,000) to the CM Covid-19 Relief Fund to aid the government in its effort.
He then urged the people not to thrust upon the entire responsibility of battling the pandemic to the government alone, adding that the responsibility also falls on each one of us.
Thus, all must follow the Covid-19 guidelines and SOP provided by the government, while also staying at home as much as possible, he asserted.
