NSCN cadres arrested

Dimapur, July 31 2014:
A cadre of NSCN-IM along with another person were apprehended on July 28 at 11:15 am in Pfutsero town in Phek district of Nagaland, according to the PRO-IGAR(North).
The PRO alleged that these two persons were arrested while they were extorting money from truck drivers in Pfutsero town at gun point.
The apprehension was done by troops of 11 Assam Rifles based on specific input, the PRO-IGAR(North) stated.
The cadre was identified as 'corporal' Jacob from Zamai village and other person believed to be Mr Sehto Lohe from Lekromi village, the PRO-IGAR(North) added.
A 9mm USA made pistol with magazine, 4 live rounds of 9mm, cash of Rs.2,510 (Rupees two thousand five hundred ten), one NSCN (IM) I-Card and one motorcycle along with four mobile phones were recovered from the individuals.
The individuals have been handed over to Pfutsero Police Station after lodging an FIR, the PRO-IGAR (North) .
In yet another significant operation on July 27, 31 Assam Rifles apprehended two FGN cadres from Tamlu, the PRO-(IGAR(North) said The cadres have been identified as 'major' Nukshi Phom and Imlong Phom, both residents of Longleng district of Nagaland.
Inputs were received regarding extortion & tax collection by underground factions in Tamlu.
The Assam Rifles launched operation based on this input and apprehended these cadres and recovered extortion slips and other incriminating documents from their possession and handed over to Tuli police station, the PRO added.
"Apprehension has once again sent a strong message against extortion activities of undergrounds factions.
The apprehension of these cadres will surely give relief to the locals and bring peace and harmony in the region," the PRO-IGAR(North) claimed.
