CRPF, Assam Rifles distribute essential items

Imphal, May 23 2021:
Under its civic action programme, the 69 Bn CRPF distributed face masks and packed food items to impoverished families settling around the camp areas of Mantripukhri as well as destitute homes on Saturday.
The Battalion provided essential items to Destitute Children Home, Lei-Ingkhol run by Leprosy Patients Welfare Society and Tabitha Children Home (Orphanage Home) at Raphei Valley, Mantripukhri.
As chief guest of the distribution programme, IGP CRPF, M&N Sector Randeep Dutta exhorted the locals to remain strong and follow all protocols and instructions regarding Covid-19 so as to avoid getting infected by the dreaded virus.
The event was also attended by commandant Bajrang Lal, officers, unit doctors and personnel of 69 Bn CRPF and people of the surrounding localities such as Nepali Basti, Bihari Basti & Lei Ingkhol.
In a similar gesture, Chandel Battalion of Assam Rifles extended assistance to Orphanage Home in Hna-tham village of Chandel on Saturday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that essential commodities, masks, gloves, sanitisers and daily use items were provided to the children of the home.
The children were also educated about COVID-19 protocols like maintaining social distancing, wearing of masks and regular washing of hands to safeguard themselves.
