The Lamkang Kurchuknao Kunpun (LKK) or Lamkang Students' Union, Chandel, has unanimously dissolved the present tenure of LKK and removed its president SK Joseph and the speaker for holding their respective chair even after their tenure expired November last and has resolved to conduct an election on April 20 .
The LKK informed that an emergency meeting of the student body convened a 'no confidence motion' against the president and the speaker and removed them of their respective chair after prolong deliberation of the house.
The statement also informed the members of the house unanimously resolved by accepting the motion raised against the two was "true and genuine" and that it also defame the union by their self style functionary.
In this regard, the Union resolved to hold an election on April 20 with Daniel Leivan Lamkang as the chief election commissioner, Kh Thomson as returning officer, D Jamsing as presiding officer and K Shakhila of polling officer, it informed.
The statement further informed during the deliberation about "No confidence motion", Mr..DKonwar, Secretary incharge, Mr.Kh.
Thomson former vice-president LKK, K.Shangrin and Jv.
Sheldon alleged the president and speaker of their self styled functionary of LKK office.
The trio also alleged the president had violated the constitution and defamed the LKK by disappearing from executives without any prior concerned and held him as corrupt, over smart which was not recognized by the LKK and termed him unfit to be the leader of his people as well as students community in particular.
"Both the president and speaker are involved in politics leaving their duty with lot of problems and even the speaker was party candidate to Janata Dal (s) published in sangai express.
His candidature is totally against to the constitution of the union and the speaker misguided the students' welfare of LKK in general", the trio further alleged.
