Keirak villagers urge Government to repair road

The villagers of Keirak Mamang Leirak appealed to the State Government to repair the road stretch from Keirak Sekmai Barrage to Wabagai Mairenbam at the earliest and warned of agitation if their demands are not fulfilled.
Speaking to media person, Keirak GP Ward No 4, former member, N Santa Devi stated that the road stretch from Keirak Sekmai Barrage to Wabagai Mairenbam has been in a deplorable condition and blacktopping of the road was done only once in the last 20 years.
The people of Keirak have also appealed to the local MLA, MD Fajur Rahim, but no visible repair works have been carried out till date, she alleged.
N Santa Devi further stated that if their demands are fulfilled within 10 days by the State Government and authorities concerned, the villagers would resort to blocking the road and other forms of agitation.
