Kangpokpi, February 25 2015:
Kuki Students' Organization (KSO), Sadar Hills is austerely conducting regular inspection of examination centres within Sadar Hills to ensure proper implementation and success of "Swachh Pariksha" or "Clean Examination" mission initiated by the Deputy Commissioner of Senapati in the district.
A three-member team of KSO Sadar Hills tripped to KT College, Kangpokpi Private Centre and HM Higher Secondary School, Keithelmanbi Private Centre.
The students' body while appreciating the manner and conduct of the candidates assumed that pocket-sized improvement in the examination could be seen visibly after the lady IAS officer's commitment in implementing the "Swachh Pariksha" mission.
However, many more measures are yet to be taken up to completely eradicate use of unfair means during examinations in the district, the KSO-SH said.
President of KSO, Sadar Hills Thangminlen Kipgen said that the inspection aims mainly to reinforce the "Swachh Pariksha" mission of the devoted Deputy Commi-ssioner who is leading the drive to wipe out unmerited practice during examinations in the district.
While seeking cooperation from the examination officials and general public including the students, he maintained that that the students' body would continue to visit the examination centre within its jurisdiction till the last day of the examination.
In the meantime, KSO Sadar Hills has appealed to the examination officials including the micro observers and flying squads to perform their duties more convincingly rather than fulfilling as their mere duty.
The responsibility and roles of the education department including its examination officials concerned in eradicating malpractice/unfair means during examination is significantly desired in the district, the students' body said.
KSO Sadar Hills also emphasized that it is equally important for the student community and parents including the respective schools/college authorities to ensure complete eradication of the malpractice during examinations.
