State logs seven new cases, 15 recoveries

Imphal, September 03 2022:
The state on Saturday reported seven new positive cases of Covid 19 from two districts out of 406 samples tested in the last 24 hours, showing a positivity rate of 1.7 per cent.
The 7 fresh cases (2 males & 5 females) are residents of Imphal West (4) and Bishnupur (3) districts.
Saturday also reported 15 recoveries following which the number of active cases came down to 56 out of which 38 are in home isolation.
No death case was reported on Saturday and the toll from the pandemic stands at 2147 lives including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus has infected 1,39,731 individuals including 5,020 CAPF personnel.
There are 33 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 58 in RIMS.
In the last 24 hours, 92 D-type and 15 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made avail able to different health facilities and 3565 vaccine doses administered on Friday that took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,33,538, out of which 13,07,770 had received the second dose and 2,48,397 taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49791), Imphal East (32021), Thoubal (10289), Churachandpur (11272), Kangpokpi (3183), Tamenglong (3496), Bishnupur (9975), Senapati (2545), Ukhrul (3363), Kakching (6972), Chandel (2792), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053) and Pherzawl (476) .
