Imphal, May 26 2015 :
Information Centre for Hill Areas (ICHAM), on Tuesday strongly condemned the Chief Minister of Manipur O Ibobi statement on Dzukou valley in which he promised to conduct a field survey after the
ADC election.
Speaking to the media persons at Manipur Press Club ICHAM General Secretary Ngachonmi Ramshang sought the State Government to immediately intervene the matter.
ICHAM was disturbed on the hearing the Chief Minister statement and alleged that he was not aware on the State boundaries despite being the head of the State.
He alleged that the Congress lead O Ibobi Government has no interest in the hill areas.
"If Chief Minister Ibobi is really interested in the hills and doing for the welfare of the State he should know the geographical land area and boundaries of the State".
Ngachomi said.
The Manipur disputes border areas have not only in Dzukou but in many border places at Jessami and Moreh.
Still the State Government did take up necessary steps to resolve the problem .
Instead they still remained as a silent spectacle, he alleged.
ICHAM will extend full support to any agitation taken up by Committee for Koijirei Dzukou land Boundary Resolution and Mao Council.
On the other hand, based on a reliable source, a joint meeting will be held on Wednesday with the United Naga Council (UNC), Mao Council and committee for Koijirei Dzuko land boundary.
