Tamenglong, August 22 2012:
The Zeliangrong Women Union, in a press statement, has categorically stated that news item published in some local dailies on dated 2nd August 2012 by Zeliangrong Baudi regarding the Memorandum submitted to the Health Minister about the CMO i/c was not in the interest of the public and the ZWU (Zeliangrong Women Union) and ZWUM ( Zeliangrong Women Union Manipur) highly condemned the signatory Disuang Pamei, Vice president Zeliangrong Baudi and Poukham Maringmei, State Secretary of
Zeliangrong Baudi .
The content of the memorandum submitted to the Health Minister is derogatory, an Organization which claims itself to be the apex body should never try to shame or harm his own blood brothers in front of others but the ZB had put all the Zeliangrong people to shame.
The press statement said that due to lack of basic routine blood examination tools or equipments like X-Ray machine and ultra sound facility, patients have to be referred to Imphal, causing immense hardships especially to patients coming from remote and far flung villages.
Instead of solving the basic and immediate needs of the hospital the Zeliangrong Baudi is more interested in who sits in the chair of the CMO which clearly indicates their cheap mentality.
It is to be noted that the public of Tamenglong had been asking for a local CMO who can stay in the station and work for the people, not a CMO who sits in Imphal and doesn't know his office address.
