Nab culprit(s) within 10 days, JAC demands

Decrying the police inaction and slow progress to find out the person(s) and vehicle involved in the accident occurred on November 12 at around 8.20 pm near a Culvert at Toupokpi Jr High School along Tiddim road under Bishnupur Police that took the life of Khwairakpam Somorjit Singh (38) from Ningthoukhong Ward No 14 who succumbed to his injuries after referring him to Bishnupur District Hospital, Convenor, JAC on the Accidental Death of Kh Somorjit Singh, RK Robinkanta Singh appealed the Bishnupur Police andauthority concerned to nab the culprit(s) within 10 days and cautioned that violent agitation will be launched if they fail to fulfil their appeal within the said period.
In a public meeting held at Community Hall, Ningthoukhong Awang Khunou Ward No 1 regarding the incident today, Convenor Robinkata Singh said that it has been five days since the accident occurred but the police are yet to identify the person(s) involved in the accident while adding that the police are making a different version regarding the cause of the accident that may paint a negative picture about the issue which is very unfortunate.
Hoping that Chief Minister N Biren will intervene to find out the exact cause of the accident, he said that the JAC will seek support from different CSOs and will launch different form of agitations to fulfill their demands if justice is not delivered within 10 days.
Elder brother of the deceased person, Kh Somen Singh said that Kh Somorjit Singh is survived by his wife and a two months old baby and appealed the Govt and police for speedy investigation so that justice is delivered for the victim.
