Imphal, February 08 2013:
A Joint Action Committee (JAC) has been formed in connection with the killing of Ningombam Gobardhan, a driver who was found dead inside his truck at NSF's Martyrs' Park in Kohima, Nagaland yesterday.
A public meeting was held at Wangjing Hodamba Lampak in Thoubal district, Manipur following which the JAC was formed to seek justice.
Gobardhan (38) was a native of Wangjing Hodamba.
The meeting also took various resolutions including putting pressure on the State Government to investigate into the killing and disclose the circumstances that led to the killing of Gobardhan by February 10 .

If the Government fails to meet the demand, the meeting resolved that the JAC would launch various intense agitations from February 11 .
The JAC has also decided not to claim the body until the Government books the culprits, saying the Governments of Manipur, Nagaland and the Centre should owned up the responsibility of the killing.
The demand of the JAC would be intimated to the state Government through a memorandum.
Notably, a handy man of the truck inside which Gobardhan was found dead is still untraceable.
