MLA hands over ambulance to CHC Saikul

As part of his initiative to ensure better and quality healthcare services to the citizens of Saikul AC and to strengthen healthcare facilities in Saikul AC, MLA Yamthong Haokip handed over an ambulance vehicle with Life Support System to Community Health Centre, Saikul on Sunday.
The handing over event, co-ordinated by Dr Lhingnei-hoi Haokip and pastor L Boilen of KRBCA, Saikul as the dedication minister, was held in the presence of ex-vice chairman of ADC-SH Thangjakam Misao, CMO Dr J Touthang, Kuki Inpi Saikul Gamkai president Seimang Lupho, District Malaria Officer, Kangpokpi Dr Ph Henkhoneng Mate, KSO Saikul president Goupu Chongloi, KSO Bungpi Area president Mangcha Baite, Saikul Hill Town Committee chairman Tonglet Chongloi, KWU Saikul president Neinu Lupheng, OC Saikul PS Thangpu Kipgen, line department officials, church leaders and staff of CHC Saikul with strict adherence to COVID appropriate behaviour.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Yamthong appreciated the healthcare workers of Saikul for performing their service diligently even during the COVID pandemic and stressed the need to address the grievances faced by the citizens of Saikul AC during this health crisis.
The MLA also highlighted few of the hardships such as any referral patients needing urgent tertiary care at Imphal, requirement of ambulance vehicle for pick and drop of COVID patients and dead bodies and the mobility for the healthcare workers for COVID related activities among others.
He said that the ambulance vehicle has been provided to boost Covid response and hence it would serve the intended purpose.
The MLA also assured of extending necessary assistance from his end amid this health catastrophe while appealing to the local CSOs, government officials, church leaders and social workers to join hands together for a co-ordinated effort in fighting COVID-19 and protect the citizens from the unprecedented disease outbreak.
CSOs of Saikul area and Bungpi area, CMO Kangpokpi, ex-MDCs also expressed their gratitude to the local MLA for his noble efforts towards ensuring healthcare of the citizens of Saikul AC by donating an ambulance vehicle to CHC Saikul and extending necessary aid in several forms.
