COVID-19 review meeting held at Moreh

In a bid to assess and control the recent surge of positive cases in the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, Deputy Commissioner Tengnoupal, Sharth Chandra Arroju and Superintendent of Police Tengnoupal, Th Vikramjit jointly convened a meeting in the IB conference hall of Moreh Police yesterday.
The meeting was attended by representatives of student organisation, Moreh Consumer club, doctors of Moreh Hospital, MO incharge of Primary Health Centre Moreh, 43 Assam Rifles and community leaders.
The meeting deliberated on the matters including the spread of COVID-19 awareness to the public and the shopkeepers and maintaining all the SOPs mandated by the Government including wearing face masks, social distance, etc.
The meeting also agreed to open shops in all the markets of Moreh from 5am to 4pm and to vaccinate all the senior citizens of Moreh at the earliest.
The compulsory use of masks was stressed upon and it was stated that the administration would invariably impose a fine of Rs 1000 for not wearing face masks from Monday.
Later, the representatives of the CSOs along with SP Tengnoupal also distributed face masks to the people at Moreh Keithel.
