DEO briefs on election preparedness

Bishnupur, April 15 2019:
The District Election Officer of Bishnupur, Pawan Yadav, held a press conference today at his chamber on the district's Lok Sabha Election 2019 preparedness.
The DEO expressed his utmost and sincere gratitude to the officers, police and line departments who have worked relentlessly to make this election process possible.
Terming election as the biggest festival of democracy, he urged the electors to cast their votes and make Lok Sabha election 2019 a grand success.
He also said "As a demonstration of women empowerment, 26 Bishnupur AC will be manned by women" he asserted.
The DEO stated that transportation will be provided to 868 voters who are person with disabilities.
He also stated that each ACs has been provided with 5 vehicles for the transportation and there are volunteers in each polling stations to facilitate the voting process.
He then informed that all the Assembly Constituencies have one model polling station each in which different facilities will be made available as per ECI guidelines.
On April 18, a total of 1,69,976 voters will cast their votes in 228 polling stations which are located in 169 places within 6 Assembly Constituencies of the district.
To ensure free, fair and accessible election, the DEO urged voters of all ages to come out and exercise their democratic rights.
