The Cyber Crime Police Station (CCPS), Manipur under EhSAS, Community Policing Programme held interactive session to spread the awareness about the safe use of social media, mobile phones and ATM cards .
A statement issued by the PRO of Police Dept said that emphasis was given on the desirable safe ‘Setting’ of Facebook account, safe handling of WhatsApp and other social media platforms.
EhSAS is a community policing initiative of CCPS, Manipur Police which means ‘realisation’.It stands for e-Swachhta Abhiyan for students .
Through this CCPS wants to make students and society realised that by suing the internet in a safe manner, many cyber Crimes and financial frauds may be prevented .
CCPS was inaugurated on June 24, 2017 and has State wide jurisdiction.
It is working under Crime Branch of Intelligence wing.
Any person residing in the state of Manipur may complaint directly to CCPS about any cyber related crime, it added.
