Large turnout at Go To Village Mission camps

Imphal, May 22 2018: Promising inclusive growth and development, the State Government had launched Go To Village Mission across the State to elevate the villages.

The 4th session of the GTV Mission camps were organised across the State on Tuesday with the aim of delivering services to the people at their doorsteps.

Here are the highlights of the event on Tuesday: .

Churachandpur .

District Administration Churachandpur organised the GTV Mission of the Government of Manipur, at different villages covering 9 District Council Constituencies in the district.

The camps were held today at Henglep (24 villages under 3-Henglep DCC), Khoirentak (4 villages under 13-Khousabung DCC), Hiangtam Lamka (7 villages under 15-Hiangtam Lamka DCC), Phailianbung (4 villages under 10-Tuivai DCC), Saipum (7 villages under 22- Haopi Range DCC), Saiton Khullen (13 villages under 20-Sangang DCC), Hita Khonou (22 villages under 21-Sangaikot DCC), Maokot (6 villages under 11 -Lungthul DCC) and Kholmun Community Hall (16 villages under 14-Tuibong DCC) .

Speaking as chief guest at the camp at Hiangtam Lamka, Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Minister V Hangkhanlian sought the cooperation of Village Authorities and leaders for successful conduction of the mission.

He directed the staff/ officials of the departments assigned inspect and inquire about the various grievances of the villagers and prepare list of deserving beneficiaries.

He encouraged the villagers to take maximum advantage of the mission.

Sports and school materials, agricultural equipment like knapsack sprayer, garbage bags, table and chairs, wheelchairs, work order for construction of IHHL etc were distributed to selected beneficiaries at the camps by different Departments.

The District Medical Department also conducted Immunization and Diabetes and Hypertension screening camps.

Tamenglong/Noney .

The GTV Mission camp was also held at Sompram village in Tamenglong District.

The camp covered 5 villages -Bhalok, L Pambram, Tharon, Duiluan and Sompram.

T Pamei, Commissioner, Science and Technology, who is also the Nodal Officer of GTV, Tamenglong district attended the program as chief guest.

The programme was also attended by new DC of Tamenglong, Ravinder Singh.

20 sets of cooking gas under Ujjwala scheme were distributed to selected beneficiaries.

The officials and staff of the departments explained and sensitized the people at the camp about various Government schemes and projects directed to benefit the people.

SDO, Tamenglong, Kachamthai Pheiga Gangmei, CEO, ADC Tamenglong D Gangmei and all the DLOs of different departments of the district attended the camp.

Nearly 1000 people from the five (5) villages attended the camp.

The GTV camp organised at Rengpang village under Nungba Sub-Division was attended by G Apoukhui (ADC member) as chief guest while camp at Dollang village was attended by H Worshang, DC of Noney, M Lakshmikumar Singh, Commissioner Transport and Power Govt of Manipur, M Daniel, president BJP Tamenglong and K Dilip, Microfinance proprietor/social worker.

Thoubal .

GTV Mission camps was successfully conducted at 3 different villages of Thoubal district today.

Chief Minister N Biren Singh attended the camp held at Nungei community Hall under Lilong Assembly Constituency.

34 stalls of different departments were set up at the camp and benefits under different Govt schemes including "Ujwala" and "Chief Ministergi Hakshelgi Tengbang" schemes were distributed to the beneficiaries.

DC Thoubal Haobam Rosita Devi, Zilla Parishad Adkshya, Pradhans, Councillors and DLO's attended the programme.

MLA Paonam Brojen attended a camp at Tekcham Mayai Leikai Community Hall under Wangjing Tentha AC.

BJP Thoubal District president L Deben, SDO Thoubal Dr M Veto and other officials also attended the programme.

Ukhrul .

Ukhrul District Administration successfully launched the campaign at 8 DCC Somdal in Phalee village in the presence of Khashim Vashum, MLA Chingai Constituency, Thanchipem Jagoi, member, ADC, VL Khayinghor, member, ADC and Thuingahan Pheirim, member, ADC among others.

Khashim Vashum distributed LPG connections, tarpaulins, GI sheets, plastic water storage container and monetary assistance under various Govt schemes during the function.

Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen attended the concerns and grievances of the villagers, during her visit at the camps at Kangpokpi Headquarters and Kharkhola, Kangpokpi.

Nemcha Kipgen urged the villagers to collaborate with the Govt officials, members of District Council, village authority pertaining to any grievances and concerns and bring it to her knowledge for on-time implementation.

She distributed free LPG connections given under PMUY to women (BPL) and also inspected the stalls of different departments and banking institutions.

Bishnupur .

The district administration successfully conducted 3 more camps at Nambol, Bishnupur and Moirang Sub-Divisions in continuation of the GTV Mission today.

The camps were conducted at Naorem Makha Community Hall for Naorem Awang and Kongkham Makha Mayai Leikai, Ningthoukhong Bazar Community Hall for 5 wards of Ningthoukhong Municipal Council and Khuman Pokpa Community Hall for Karang and Thanga.

L Radhakishore Singh, MLA/ Oinam, T Robindro Singh, MLA/Thanga, Nidhi Keshwani, Secy, PHED and Nodal Officer, Principal scientist Dr MM Prasad, Fermentation and Microbiology, CUT, Kochi and H Biramani Singh, Director, Fisheries visited the camps.

Chandel .

GTV camp was also conducted at Monsang pantha village, Chandel Sub-Division.

The program was attended by Manglem Monsang, member ADC Chandel, Th Ranjit , Secretary, Revenue, Krishna Kumar, DC, Chandel, Chinglenkhomba Meitei, ADC/ADM Chandel, Kh Siddharth, SDO- Chandel, Syed Abdul Samad, SDPO Chandel and Gautam, SDC, Chandel.

DLOs and staffs of various departments of the district, Village Chiefs and ADC members also attended the programme.

Kits and other items of various departments were distributed to the selected beneficiaries at the camp.

Kakching .

District Administration Kakching too organised the GTV camps at Sekmaijin Khunou Ibudhou Wangbren Community Hall under Sekmaijin Gram Panchayat and Wabagai Higher Secondary School under Wabagai Gram Panchayat.

Hiyanglam AC MLA Dr Radheshyam Yumnam, DC Kakching Neilenthang Telien, Sekmaijin GP Pradhan K Ibomcha Singh attended the camp at Sekmaijin as presidium members.

Kakching ZP member-Wabagai Keirak ZP Constituency M Jayanta Singh, DC Kakching Neilenthang Telien and Wabagai GP Pradhan Yumnam Hemchand Singh attended the camp at Wabagai as presidium members.
