Is there a Govt in State, asks CPI

With state forces involving in various crimes including drug smuggling cases for the last many years, CPI, Manipur State Council has questioned whether there exists any Government in the State at all.
Talking to mediapersons at Irabot Bhawan here today, Dr M Nara, Secretary of CPI, Manipur State Council, observed that in continuation of involvement State forces in various crimes, an 11-member team of Manipur Police Commandos led by two Police officers was caught by another team of Thoubal Police Commandos at Pallel yesterday.
This incident was indeed unbelievable, but highly condemnable.
Maintaining that the reputation and image of Manipur Police Department has been tarnished by some insincere police officers, Dr Nara demanded revelation of the identities of all the 11 commandos arrested along with drugs at Pallel yesterday and asked as to why the Police Department is trying to conceal their identities when the PRO, Defense Wing who was arrested in similar case of drug smuggling was paraded before media and his photographs flashed all over print and electronic media.
Dr Nara has also come out strongly against the alleged move of the Government of Government for extending the term of incumbent Chief Secretary further and demanded to recruit a senior most officer from Manipur cadre as the next Chief Secretary but not a non-Manipuri.
