Free medical camp

Democratic Students' Alliance, Manipur (DESAM) Imphal East District Council along with the Chief Medical Officer, Imphal East today organized a one day free medical camp at Keikol village community hall, Heingang AC.
Gynaecology, medicine, paediatric and eye specialists, five doctors from CMO, Imphal East along with two doctors from Joyshree Eye Care, Singjamei Keithel and other pharmaceutical staff conducted medical examination on the patients.
Altogether 300 patients were examined and free medicines were also distributed.
DESAM Imphal East president Talem Sony said that the student organization has been regularly conducting medical camps in remote parts of the State where medical facilities and other benefits have been deprived.
Stating that DESAM would continue to conduct medical camps in other parts of the State, Talem Sony urged the public to render support.
Keikol Youth Development Club, Keikol Semgat Nupi Lup and Nine Board (a village development committee) also took an initiative role in organising the camp.
