NEC empanels Jettwings to provide job oriented training

Jettwings Institute of Airlines, Hospitality, Tourism & Management today announced its empanelment under the North Eastern Council (NEC) to provide a unique 6 months full time specialized Diploma program in hospitality & tourism to the unemployed and unprivileged youth of the region.
With an aim of creating a long term sustainable pool of human resource aimed at catering to the man power requirement of the industry and generating employment for the unemployed youth of the region, the North Eastern Council Secretariat (NEC) had embarked upon the activity of empanelling the best institution for the purpose.
After a two phase evaluation of a National bid, the NEC has selected Jettwings out of 120 companies to provide this unique employment generation course for the unemployed youth of the N.E States fully sponsored by the NEC.
The course will create a pool of manpower to cater to the local tourism, hospitality and also the airline Industry.
This significant public-private partnership will enhance skills and employability for unemployed youth across the North East region.
The emphasis will be to offer this job oriented training to applicants mainly from low and middle income households, aspiring to build successful careers through quality training.
These skilled youth will initially fulfil the requirements of the service sector.
The Objective of the Jettwings Training is to create awareness about tourism and hospitality in general and of sustainable tourism in particular, in the socio-economic planning of the region and to create future entrepreneurs with adequate knowledge about finance options and special packages available for the growth and development of tourism & hospitality in general.
Built on a strong foundation of the Jettwings pedagogy, state-of-the-art curriculum will be used to transfer skills to students.
Furthermore, On the Job Training (OJT) will be facilitated for students to apply the skills learnt to real life situations and thus develop a deeper understanding of industry requirements.
The selection of beneficiaries for the NEC sponsored program will be done through skill tests and interviews held by Jettwings officials consecutively in all the N.E States.
This program has been supported whole heartedly by all the State Governments who will work as the Nodal implementing body for the selection process.
