Pistol seized from a Home Guard personnel

Police have seized a revolver illegally possessed by a Home Guard personnel in addition to recovering two pistols reportedly left behind by an unidentified youth who hurried away on seeing police commandos.
A police source informed that one revolver possessed by Home Guard personnel Md Abdul Rehaman was seized by a team from Imphal police station in the morning of July 6 from his rented room.
Abdul Rehaman belongs to Mayang Imphal Bengoon but is staying at Nagamapal in a rented room.
On the other hand, Imphal West commandos recovered two pistols reportedly left behind by an unidentified youth at about 6.45 pm of July 6 from Leikinthabi Bazar under Sekmai police station.
As police commandos were frisking passers by there, an unidentified youth came out from public toilet in a suspicious manner.
On looking inside the toilet, two pistols wrapped in a polythene bag were found lying there.
However, the man who left behind the pistols could not be nabbed, conveyed the source.
