Patriotic song competition held at Kakching

Kakching, September 29 2019:
Skylark Music Band, Mayai Loishang Kakching has organized a 2nd State Level Patriotic Song Competition at Library and Auditorium hall of Information Centre Kakching, Kakching Phousupat Leikai in Kakching district.
The competition saw participation from 50 young singers from different parts of Manipur out of which only 14 singers managed to clear the preliminary round held on September 21 and they battle it out in the final round today.

In the final round, the contestants were made to sing on a list of selected patriotic songs viz 'Ima poknapham ima, 'Khomlang laman singamloi', 'Pari imom pangalbasa', 'Meitei Nongsa mamingta ngaire' and 'Heibok chingsang mamingta ngaire'.
Ningthoujam Homendro, Thoubal secured the first position, Wairokpam Anju Chenglei, Heirok Part-2, Litan Makhong settled at second position and Moirangthem Purnima Chanu, Heirok Part 3, Litan Thong Wangma finished at third position.
The competition was graced by Moirangthem Inakhunbi, former Chairperson Kakching Municipal Council as chief guest, Dr Nongmaithem Pramodini, Lecturer Kakching Higher Secondary School as functional president and Pukhrambam Sanahal, Councillor ward number 4 KMC as guest of honour.
