June 18 victim's daughter to get free education

In a commendable step taken up by Manipuri Students Federation (MSF) and Little Rose Higher Secondary School, S Anupama, the daughter of a victim of the June 18 incident would be given free education in Little Rose Higher Secondary School from class X to XII.
S Anupama is the daughter S Sobita, whose right leg had to be amputated owing to a bullet injury during the June 18 agitation.
Announcing this to media persons, Ngairangbam Milan, President of MSF said that the step has been taken up by the student body as a part of its "Eikhoi Leirik Tamminnashi" campaign.
All the requirements of Anupama while pursuing her studies from class X to XII would be borne by MSF and Little Rose Higher Secondary School.

He observed that the state government has been in some way or the other giving a helping hand to the martyrs' of June 18 incident of 2001.However, it has not come up with any sort of assistance to Sobita, who has rendered physically challenged due to shooting of CRPF personnel during the agitation for protection of territorial integrity of Manipur.
In her physically challenged condition, Sobita has not been able to earn a living of late.
As such, the step to fully sponsor the education of her daughter has been taken up by MSF in collaboration with Little Rose Higher Secondary School.
S Sobita, who was also present at the press conference, expressed gratitude to MSF and Little Rose Higher Secondary School for their support.
School uniform and books for S Anupama were handed over to Sobita by Ng Milan and Pari, administrator of the school.
