Dimapur, January 03 2015 :
Against Corruption and Unabated Taxation (ACAUT) Nagaland has said that the NSCN (K) instead of issuing a public clarification demanded by the former as to why its cadres bombed KT Gas Agency on December 22, 2014 justified its activities from the perspective of 'Unresolved Indo-Naga-Myanmar Political issue' (30th December 2014, local papers) .
"Thus, it's an open admission that it was involved in bombing KT Gas Agency and of throwing bombs in the past against innocent business establishments," ACAUT Nagaland said in a statement.
This stand has made it clear that the NSCN (K) is an organization which has adopted terrorist tactics against its own civilian population, it added.
"Since the NSCN (K) has chosen not to respond to ACAUT charges that 'NSCN (K) had in the past blasted grenades at various places on several occasions creating death and injuries', the ACAUT is left with no option but to conclude that the incidents were committed by the organization: The bombing of a goldsmith- cum- jewellery shop, GS Road, Dimapur on August 7, 2013, where one person was killed and another injured; the bombing of Rhino Roadways Corporation, Dimapur, on 13th August, 2013; the bombing of Progressive Motors (TK Service Station), Dimapur, on October 31, 2013; the throwing of a grenade inside the house of a businessman at Marwaripatti on March 1, 2014; the bombing of Maruti Trading Agency, Dimapur on April 22, 2014 and the planting of a bomb at Jasokie Market, Dimapur around the same time," accused ACAUT, Nagaland.
It then asked the NSCN (K) as to whether the NSCN (K) is waging war against the Burmese and Indian States or against its own civilian population.
The duplicity of the NSCN (K) is in full view when it accuses ACAUT of collaborating with police in arresting Nagaho and contemptuously addresses the Nagaland police as 'Indian security agencies.' However, ACAUT would like to remind the organisation that their allergy for anything 'Indian' should include Indian rupee too but their sheer hypocrisy means that their 'love' for Indian money cannot be stopped.
According to the statement, it has been the stand of ACAUT that the Naga 'political groups' (NPGs) should not indulge in unabated taxation under the garb of sovereignty to legitimize their activity.
"Our memorandum submitted to PM Narendra Modi stated this fact that taxation is a political issue related to Naga movement but it in no way legitimizes unabated taxations or extortions committed by the NPGs.
Therefore, the NSCN (K) stand is misplaced," ACAUT, Nagaland added.
The statement said that as per Government protocol and Supreme Court guidelines, the members of HPC are fully entitled to remunerations and therefore, are given honorarium and vehicles for stipulated period only.
It may be noted that members of ACAUT were inducted into the HPC so as to maintain the integrity and impartiality of the HPC in investigating issues of corruption and unabated taxation.
So the NSCN (K) making noises about ACAUT members asking for NL-10 SUVs and remunerations is false, it said.
