Meet on SHDDC stir today

With the ongoing economic blockade imposed by the Sadar Hills Districthood Demand Committee (SHDDC) having completed a record 61 days, leaders of Sadar Hills area would hold a meeting tomorrow.
The meeting scheduled to be held at Council Hall, Kangpokpi would review the two months' old blockade and deliberate on the progress of the agitation.
The leaders' meet would also discuss and decide on the mode of the next course of agitation which may be undertaken during the month of October.
Ex-MLAs, sitting MLAs, Members of Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council, chairmen and secretaries of chiefs' associations, convenors of SHDDC sub-committees and Church leaders of Sadar Hills area are expected to participate in the meet which will start at 11.30 am.
Some leaders are expected to put up the agenda of calling off the ongoing blockade during the meeting tomorrow, informed another source.
However, SHDDC which is convening the leaders' meet maintained that the meeting would focus only on the agenda of reviewing progress of the ongoing agitation and chalking out next course of action.
A series of meeting has been held earlier.
