Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) in a statement issued by its president V Weapon Zimik alleged that the allocated kerosene for the people of Ukhrul district has been misused by a runner of an oil agency in Ukhrul in connivance with his accomplice.
Stating that proprietor of ZV Napoleon Oil Agency, ZV Kahangpam, had entrusted the distribution of SK oil to his grandson V Horling Zimik, the statement said that Horling Zimik started to run the business with one Phurailatpam Jotin Sharma of Uripok Huidrom Leikai.
The statement alleged that ZV Napoleon Oil Agency, Ukhrul district, had not distributed keresone to the people between October-December 2014.Between these months, altogether 48 KL of SK oil disappeared without ever reaching the district.
In January 2015, out of 24 kilolitre of kerosene allocated for the district, only 12 KL of kerosene reached the district.
A complaint was made against ZV Napoleon Oil Agency on January 6 to the authority concerned following which the complaint was submitted to the OSD, CAF & PD for further enquiry.
The OSD visited the district on February 17 to inspect the ZV Napoleon Oil Agency godown.
Upon reaching, the godown was found to be locked up.
The godown was therefore sealed by the OSD, the statement said.
The statement further alleged that SK oil which is meant for the public of Ukhrul district was unloaded at a godown located near Iroisemba Zoo, Imphal.
It alleged that the Office of FCS department, Ukhrul gave UC permit to Horling Zimik and Phurailatpam Jotin Sharma without scrutinising if the allocated SK oil was fairly distributed or not.
The statement urged the authority concerned to look into the matter and take up appropriate action against the duo.
