Training on Life Skill commenced

Assistant Commissioner of Senapati Pawan Yadev kicked off Training of Trainers (ToT) on Life Skill programme at the conference hall of Lungnila Elizabeth School of Social Work (LESSW), Old Monday Market today, our correspondent reports.
The opening event was attended by Augustine Ngatuba, Quest Alliance; Dr Komuha Jajuo, Assistant Professor, LESSW; Adani Peter, Editor in Chief, Hills Hornbill Express; Kaisii Stephen, Super Francise, National Skill Development Corporation; Dr NCH Stevenson Ngata, Principal, Master's Theological College & Seminary, Senapati; Adam Poumai, Principal, New Life College, Senapati; Robin Raomi Heni, president, CCM.
Held under the aegis of Quest Alliance and Lungnila Elizabeth School of Social Work (LESSW), Senapati in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), the training programme is participated by about 50 persons, mostly teachers, social activists, NGO workers and student leaders.
Gracing the inaugural session as chief guest, Pawan Yadev, shared his interest of becoming an educationist and lauded the efforts of educationists at large.
He elaborated on the two type of skills � the hard skills and soft skills and shared on the importance of soft skills among the youths.
"Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many initiatives like Skill India, Digital India etc have been launched to train over 50 crore people", he said.
He further urged the people to translate life skills into sports, music and other co-curricular activities.
The ToT on life Skill will conclude on January 29 .
