Medical cum immunization programme

A three-day free medical and routine immunization programme was conducted at border villages of Moreh under the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) .
The free medical and routine immunization programme which commenced from April 18 under the supervision of Dr Kh Shatikumar Singh, Medical Officer in-charge, Moreh PHC concluded today.
The medical team came across various children suffering from measles, malaria, otorrhea (ear infection) during their drive at remotest part of the border villages.
Most women, the team recorded, suffered from low bone intensity and such other diseases that arise from overworking.
Out of 617 patients that were examined during the three-day programme, 191 were administered free immunization vaccines.
Free medicines were also distributed to the villagers as part of the programme.
This is the first time that the State took up such programme in these remote parts of the district.
The villager conveyed their deepest gratitude to the attending doctors for organising the programme.
