Murder of HSO leader : KIM waters down stand

Following the assurance of the State DGP and satisfactory efforts of the Police Department in the murder case of HSO president and the progress in the investigation, Kuki Inpi, Manipur has decided to relax the one week deadline given earlier to arrest all the perpetrators involve in the murder case .
In a statement KIM said "we have received assurance from the DGP himself on the utmost importance that the Police Department is assigning to the ongoing investigation regarding the regrettable murder of the late HSO President Letkholal Haokip and the fact that it [Police Department] consider the case a top-priority."
It also said that the DGP assured that the Police Department will leave no stone unturned to unearth the conspiracy behind the murder of the late student leader while adding that the Kuki CSO leaders are pleased to note that the investigation into the high profile murder case is progressing well .
As per the verbal assurance and request received from the DGP, KIM in a meeting today decided to relax the one week deadline given earlier to arrest all the perpetrators, it added .
It further said that the decision has been taken to enable the Police Department to carry on their investigation/probe without any encumbrances – physical or mental, and to facilitate the on-going investigation with the hope that this case will soon be brought to its logical conclusion and that justice will be done at the earliest .
The Kuki Inpi Manipur also appealed to all to refrain from making baseless and provoking posts in connection to the case on social media.
