Shija launches subsidised OPD scheme

Shija Hospital today launched a subsidised OPD scheme for different departments today at SHRI auditorium, Langol.
The subsidised OPD scheme will come into effect from July 27.The departments to be covered by subsidised OPD scheme include Breast and Thyroid clinic; Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery; Shija Dental White; ENT at Shija ENT Hospital, Sanakeithel, Lamphel; General Medicine; General Surgery; Obstetrics and Gynaecology; Orthopaedics; and Plastic Surgery .
Initially, the subsidised OPD will be held every Thursday from 2 PM to 4 PM with a consultation fee of Rs 50 per visit.
However, the OPD day and timing will be subject to change from time to time .
10 pc discount on investigation, surgeries and room rent will be applicable to all the patients availing subsidised OPD scheme if performed within 30 days from the date of advice by the consultants, the hospital authority said .
Speaking to media persons, Chief Managing Director of SHRI, Dr Kh Palin said that the subsidised OPD is launched with the objective to clear general perception that Shija Hospital is expensive .
Through the subsidised OPD, SHRI is planning to boost medical tourism in the State, Dr Palin said .
The main objective of introducing the scheme is to reach out to the poor and needy masses of the region without compromising the quality of care with the best state of the art technologies, the hospital authority said.
