21 more positive to take active caseload to 133

Imphal, April 14 2021:
Amid the fear of a second wave of COVID-19 in the State, the number of active cases has reached 133 after 21 people tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
After the number of fresh infections remained well under 10 for weeks, the State is witnessing double digit daily infections for some days now.
The total number of positive cases has reached 29,561 while the number of recovered cases has touched 29,052 with a recovery rate of 98.27 percent.
The Covid death toll remains at 376 with zero death reported in the last 24 hours.
Of the total 98,781 people who have received vaccine shots, 1,815 are healthcare workers.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 Common Control Room reported that the 21 people who tested positive for Covid in the last 24 hours hail from Imphal West (10), Churachandpur (5), Bishnupur (4), Thoubal (1) and Tengnoupal (1) .
They tested positive for Covid at testing facilities at RIMS (9), Raj Medicity (5), Churachandpur (3), JNIMS (1), Public Hospital (1), Maipakpi (1), Tengnoupal (1) .
On the other hand, 6 people have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.
While three of them recovered while under home isolation, the other three have been discharged from RIMS.
The cumulative number of Covid positive cases is 29,561 including 26,104 from the general population and 3,457 Central security personnel.
The cumulative number of recovered cases is 29,052 including 25,615 from the general population and 3,437 Central security personnel.
The number of active cases is 133 including 117 from the general population and 16 Central security personnel, said the Government Covid report.
Further, air passengers who arrived at Imphal on April 10 by Indigo flight 6E-2615 in rows 23-29, Indigo flight 6E-524 in rows 22-28; April 11-Indigo flight 6E-172 in rows 1-5 and Indigo flight 6E-2251 in rows 10-16 should report to the COVID-19 Common Control Room (18003453818) or their respective District Surveillance Officers (DSOs) immediately, said the report.
