People's Day observed

The people of Bishnupur observed People's Day at the conference hall of Mini Secretariat complex, Bishnupur chaired by ADC TK Simte today.
The day was also observed at the offices of district level officers and also at SP, Bishnupur office.
JIRIBAM: In connection with the observation of People's Day in different parts of Manipur, People's Day was also observed today at Jiribam DC office where the public met with the district level officers.
Meanwhile, District police, Jiribam observed the day at Manipur Police guest house of Jiribam police station chaired by SP Hopson Sapam.
SP Hopson stated that the day was observed to foster cooperation and understanding between police and the public.
Kangpokpi: People's Day was held at the conference hall, DC Office Kangpokpi where the public highlighted various important issues.
Some of the issues included the necessity of setting up a Zilla Sainik Board in the district for the welfare of Armed Forces pensioners of the district, setting up of Manipur State Illness Fund, improvement of Community Health Centre (CHC), posting and functioning of District Youth Affairs and Sports Officers (DYASO), implementation of PMAY-G (Pradhan Mantri Awaz Yojana-Gramin), and also to operationalize the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) immediately.
THOUBAL: Deputy Commissioner, Thoubal Shyam Lal Poonia met the people of Thoubal to mark the observation of People's Day where many district level officers took part.
Organised at the conference hall of the DC office, people mainly highlighted the need for regular distribution of PDS items and proper inspection of the developmental works which are presently carried out in Thoubal district.
DC Shyam Lal Poonia stated that all the initiatives taken up by the Central and the State Governments will be made available to each and every citizen of Thoubal.
He further encouraged the public and civil society organisations to participate regularly in observing People's Day every month.
