Imphal, October 31 2021: Peace Campaign Committee led by its convener Rohan Philem in association with BJP's intending candidate Jyotin Waikhom organised a rally for free and fair election in Thangmeiband assembly constituency on Sunday.

Speaking at the event, Jyotin expressed concern over the increasing incidents of violence ahead of the 2022 state assembly election, which he termed as unfortunate.

He then appealed to the people of Thangmeiband AC to play their part in preventing such violent incidents in the constituency.

Maintaining that youth have major role to play in making election free and fair, he called upon the youth of Thangmeiband to join hands for ensuring peaceful election.

On the other hand, BJYM Thangmeiband Mandal organised a youth enrolment programme at the residence of Jyotin Waikhom in Thangmeiband Lairenhanjaba Leikai.

BJYM vice-president Hemchandra attended the enrolment programme.
