Seminar on 'Modi@20 Dreams Meet Delivery' held

Kangpokpi, August 13 2022: As part of the Patriots' Day observance, Presidency College, Motbung organised a seminar on 'Modi@20 Dreams Meet Delivery' at its Jubilee hall on Saturday.

College principal Dr T Gangte, BJP Manipur Pradesh secretary Paokam Haokip, who is also in charge of Sadar Hills, and BJP Sadar Hills president Thangjamang Kipgen, apart from teachers and students of the college attended the function.

During the event floral tributes were paid to freedom fighters.

Dr L Rameshwor Singh and Dr N Premananda Singh spoke on the Patriots of Manipur and Modi@20 Dreams Meet Delivery.

Prize distribution to winners of the open district-level competitions in debate, quiz, essay writing, extempore speech and painting from July 15 to 30 also marked the event.

The debate competition on the theme "The failure of Manipur in the 1891 Anglo-Manipuri War was due to disunity among the princes of Manipur" was won by Satgoulal Kilong (Presidency College) as Kadingngambou Abonmai (Presidency College) secured second position and Damdei College student Shinning Thiumai bagged the third position.

In the quiz competition, Presidency College students SK Satgoulal Kilong and Satgunmang Haokip shared first position; Damdei College students Thethem Kipgen and Nengneivah Sitlhou both came in second and Vahminchoi Lotzem and Nengneihoi Haokip of Presidency College bagged third position.

In essay, Presidency College students, Seiminlal Doungel and Lunneihao Chongloi secured first and second positions respectively while Damdei College student Neng-neivah Sitlhou stood in the third position.

In extempore speech, Presidency College students Anjali Chhetry, Babita Rijal and Smita Thapa secured first, second and third position respectively.

In painting, Presidency College students, Lamginmang Tuboi and Rinshang Phelamai were first and second while Damdei College student Nengneivah Sitlhou was third.
