With the objective of tapping talents of non-conventional film-makers of Manipur an animation film titled 'Uchek Langmeidong' which is based on local folktale has been released by the Chief Secretary Jarnail Singh at a simple function held at the DOEACC Centre, Akampat today.
Talking to newspersons on the sideline of the release function, Design Engineer (DOEACC) Y Subhaschandra, who is also the executive producer of the 18 minute film informed that software used in the film included photoshop, flash and adobe premiere and consist of over 30,000 frames.
Regarding prospect of animation films in Manipur, he exuded confidence that such relatively
new venture would be a tremendous boost for generation of job opportunity to graphic designers, artists, computer professionals specialising in multimedia and animation.
Personnel of Multimedia & Digital Animation Lab, DOEACC Centre are said to be behind the success story of production of manipur's second animation film after 'Ita Thaomei'.
CD copies of 'Uchek Langmeidong' which is a non-commercial venture may be obtained free of cost from the DOEACC Centre.
